Shirley Ann Cayou

Shirley Ann Cayou, 71, of Lincoln, died on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln. Shirley was born on June 28, 1939 in Walthill, Neb., the daughter of Moses and Rachel (Sheridan) Cayou. After graduating from high school, Shirley spent most of her adult life in Lincoln working as a counselor for drug and alcohol addictions at the Lincoln Indian Center.

She is survived by one son, LeRoy Cayou of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Katlyn and Mitchell and a great granddaughter, Aliyona along with many other relatives.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 12 p.m. at the Lincoln Indian Center; Mr. Mitchell Sheridan will be in charge of the services. The visitation will begin on Friday evening and run until the time of the service at the Indian Center. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Lincoln.
